COVINGTON – Funeral services for Mrs. Jean Spinning Ensfield, age 66, of 2200 High St., Logansport, a former resident of Covington, who died suddenly of a massive coronary Tuesday evening, July 28 (1970) , at her home, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Kroeger Funeral Home in Logansport. Burial was in the Logansport Cemetery. Mrs. Ensfield was the daughter of Lynn and Julia Luke Spinning and she was born Oct. 20, 1903, in Warren County. She was married in July 1950 to Charles C. Ensfield, who survives. She was graduated from Covington High School and received Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Indiana Universitv, Bloomington. She was a teacher all her life, retiring in 1968. She taught in Veedersburg and Logansport. Mrs. Ensfield was a member of the Episcopal Church and Tri Kappa Sorority in Logansport, having been initiated by the Covington Chapter. She also was a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association, the Indiana Retired Teachers Association and the National Retired Teachers Association. Surviving Mrs. Ensfield, in addition to the husband, are: two aunts, Miss Nina Spinning and Mrs. Edith Luke, both of Covington, and several cousins. The Rev. Father Louis Payne officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery at Logansport. – jlr
